Every day on my drive home from work I pass these rows and rows of beautiful, colorful roses.
It's always been one of those moments when you wish you had your camera on you and you realize your phone just couldn't do it justice. But since I just got my iPhone yesterday, today was the perfect day to pull over and capture it.
There's no way my short stumpy legs could capture the many acres of color but it goes from light pink to dark to red to yellow then white.
I pulled over and stood momentarily frozen in front of some dirt mounds before I snapped back into childhood and just tore through them. So my feet and flip flops were filthy, who cares?!
It seems like such a no-brainer but it really reminded me just how disconnected I've gotten as an adult. When was the last time you tossed aside the worry of getting dirty to get to something great?
Hopping over muddy holes and nearly falling down dirt slopes were not only worth it, but was also kind of fun. :)

For the longest time, Arizona residents had to travel to Palm Springs, California for their Coach Outlet.
Not anymore!
Check out the loot I scored on Friday!
It was the grand opening weekend so they had crazy sales going on, on top of their already discounted prices. Gold signature bag: $328.00 $70.00! Gold Wallet: $208.00 $69.00! Silver bag: $398.00 $113.00! Gold Keychain: $28.00 $13.00!
I love this bag because the silver (inside and out) reminds me of winter time and I love all the hardware detailing.
I don't know what it is, but lately I've been really into gold.
The first Coach bag I ever owned was a used one I got at a secondhand store. I paid $50 for it, so to have a new one for 20 bucks more was too good to pass up.
I don't know what it is about this puffy wallet but 'm in love. It's small size still holds all my cards.
Ahhhh the pink interior!
They had these babies well planted at the checkout so while you were waiting in the long line you could still be adding to your stash.
Truth be told, I would never pay full price for a bag this expensive. The only other new Coach I have I got on our cruise ship at tax free, duty free prices.
If you live in Arizona, here's the address for the Coach Outlet store. There's also a mens one nextdoor, although that one was nearly empty while the women's store was chaos! Go figure!

Hope everyone has a great week!
Well here it is mid-October, and over in Phoenix we are STILL in the triple digits.
Suuuuuuriously.
Which makes it really crappy that out AC just broke!
{Yep. That's what my thermostat said the temperature was in my house just before typing this!}
BUT...
I've got something new to show you!
Stockings!
It sure is weird making stockings in triple digit weather!
I'm still playing around with different types. The one on the left has a ruffle and the one on the right has a cuff.
I used a pattern for the one with the cuff and the ruffle one I just kind of winged it. I will post a tutorial for that one soon!
I played around with putting a ruffle ON the cuff, but that turned out to be a BIG pain the butt so I don't think I'll be making more of these.
I have three made so far that I will be putting in the shop soon.

On my facebook today I asked the question:
Do you prefer your stockings to be in holiday colors like reds, greens, blues and whites OR would you like to see funky nontraditional ones with non-Christmas patterns and colors?
...are in the shop!
Lots of fun juicy ruffles to pick from.
These are great as little jewelry holders, coinpurses, a money stasher, or a little secret spot in your bag for personal items. Because of it's small size, it fits in almost all bags.
Also, can you say stocking stuffer?!
How cute would this be holding cash in a stocking?
I'd sure love to get some cash in MY stocking! Just sayin'.

Hope you all have a fabulous Saturday!
Hello friends!
There are lots of adorable new ruffle clutches in the shop!
Two new leopard printed ones that are fierce! Rawr!
And of course all with ruffles. Messy, bright, juicy ruffles!
Go check 'em out!

The number one question I get on my Etsy is "What other colors can you make the rosettes in?"
Well... there you go!
Customized rosettes really were an obvious transition. I don't know why I didn't add this feature before...
Fall Colors...
...and lots of pink shades...
I wanted to offer lots and lots of colors so they could be really customizable, especially for bridal parties!
So which of the 30 color choices is your favorite?Go check them out!

It's that time again!
For this week's photo link up I chose an older photo that I had taken right after my son Sam was born.
Armed with only a digital camera, a bed sheet and a breast feeding pillow, I tried excitedly to capture my new baby's cuteness in a homemade photoshoot.
I think he's only about a week old here. What a big boy! Almost 10 pounds when he was born (C-section obviously!) and 21 inches! I'm totally blaming the fact that I'm still a husky hefalump on him being one hungry fetus! ;)
Now go link up your favorite photo(s) with Rebecca!

One of the reasons I love sewing the things I do, is because it allows me to have fun with fabrics I don't have the guts to actually wear.
But while watching an episode of Gossip Girl the other night, I couldn't help by admire the use of color in Serena's (Blake Lively's) wardrobe.

I love the way they use color on that show, especially in accessories and chunky jewelry.

Loooove that skirt, and the color! I'm so into coral reds this fall.
So here's the challenge.
Lets all try to add more color to our wardrobes.
I'm guilty of buying too many black, white and gray shirts, always sticking on the side of neutrals.
So my goal is to start adding more pops of color, whether through jewelry, bags, pins...whatever.
Maybe I'll even attempt making some skirts? We'll see!
