The Five People You Meet in Heaven
I have just finished this book. What a good book it was! It puts things into perspective and makes you see things differently. At one point, the author speaks about how everything that happens has different angles and perspectives to it. A boy chases after a ball crossing the street, a truck veers and barelt misses the boy. The boy is momentarily frightened but shruggs it off as a lucky day and runs off to continue playing ball. What you don't see is the man driving the truck has now had a panic attack further down the road, causing a major accident, and his subsequent death. It's very powerful to see life that way- and it makes you think about your interactions with others, whether big or small. I plan to see the movie. I hope it lives up to the book.
